Holy Monastery of Saint George at Karydi
Built among verdant olive groves, just before the village of Vrysses at the area of Karydi, lies the Monastery of St. George. According to tradition, its name derives from a small settlement that existed in the area. The monastery had been abandoned for years, but in 1996 it was restored and reopened. Inside there is an olive mill with 12 arches that supports its roof, creating an impressive building.
